Once your job is approved and live to candidates, you should generally see candidates starting to apply within a few hours.
On your ATS, these candidates will be marked as "Otta". If you use an ATS that we don’t fully integrate with, you may also see Otta candidates come through as "Direct".
It’s always a good idea to ask candidates where they applied from at screening stage to make sure you have the correct information. Please also note, the analytics on each job will take at least 24 hours to populate. From here, you can also review how many candidates applied through the platform.
Application rates and volumes will depend on the number of available candidates who match your job’s function, seniority and, if declared, salary. Your role will also receive more/less applications depending on the plan that you’re on, as different plans have different levels of promotion.
As a rule of thumb, senior or more technical roles may take longer to see applications as these candidates remain passive for longer. This is why it’s really important to nail your company profile and include high quality information about the role’s responsibilities, working location, flexibility and other information.
