Job approval times

All jobs take up to one working day to go live on our platform, whether they are being synced from your ATS, or being published directly. This is because every job is approved, processed and quality checked by our team of in-house analysts before going live.

If 48 hours have passed, and your job isn’t live on Welcome to the Jungle, it may be that we are experiencing some delays, or the job has been disapproved by our team, as per our job posting guidelines. We disapprove jobs if they don’t match with the functions our candidate base are looking for, or the locations of our candidates. This makes sure you receive relevant, high quality applications!

What if it’s been 48 hours and my job isn’t live?

Firstly, check if your job is in “Draft” status:

  1. Log in to your Welcome to the Jungle account here

  2. Select the “Jobs” tab on the left of your screen

  3. Select “Draft” from the “Filter by job status” drop down

  4. If it’s here, select “Publish changes” (this will send it to “Review” and it should be live within a working day!)

Then, check if your job is in “Review” status:

  1. Log in to your Welcome to the Jungle account here

  2. Select the “Jobs” tab on the left of your screen

  3. Select “Review” from the “Filter by job status” drop down

  4. Roles in “Review” should go live in one working day

Finally, check if your job has been disapproved:

  1. Log in to your Welcome to the Jungle account here

  2. Select the “Jobs” tab on the left of your screen

  3. Select “Disapproved” from the “Filter by job status” drop down

Your disapproved jobs will show here, along with the reason they were disapproved.

If the role you are looking for doesn’t show here, please email companies@welcometothejungle.com, with the title of the job, and we can help further

What do the disapproval reasons mean?

Some common reasons why jobs are disapproved on Welcome to the Jungle:

  • Location - we currently support specific locations on the platform, based on where our candidate base are looking for jobs, to make sure you receive suitable applicants. You can find the locations we currently support here. This is something we are working on expanding!

  • Unsupported function - we currently support specific job functions, based on the job functions are candidate base fit, meaning you are matched with suitable, high quality candidates. You can find the job functions we support here.

  • Requirements - this is for when a specific training, or certification is required for a role, which is too niche for our candidate base. For example, if fire safety training was required, rather than the training being provided on the job.

  • Unsupported role type - you can find our guidelines on part-time, freelance and contractor roles here.

  • Language - we only publish roles written in English.

  • Lacks information - all our job cards require the same basic information (e.g. “who you are”, “what the job involves” etc.). If you miss out this information, we won’t be able to post your role. This is in order to provide candidates with a consistent experience. It also means our candidates know what you are looking for and can judge if they’re a good fit!

  • Experience - a role can be disapproved if specific experience is required in a function we don’t support (e.g. a Head of Marketing role (which we do support), requiring 5+ years in E-commerce, (which we don’t support)).

  • Job not live - this is when a role is no longer live on your ATS, so we can’t access the information for the job.

  • Duplicate job - if your role has been submitted twice manually, or shows twice on your ATS, the duplicate will be disapproved in order not to confuse a candidate’s experience.

  • Other - this will show if your job has been auto-disapproved before it reaches us.

The most likely reason for this is if the role’s main location on your ATS shows as one we don’t support, even if a location we do support shows somewhere else on the job card. For this, please make sure you update the main location on your ATS to one we do support! You can find our supported locations here.

Another common reason for this is if it's clear that we don't support the job function. You can find our supported job functions here.

How can I edit my job, so it fits within your guidelines, and can be approved?

If you have your ATS connected to your Welcome to the Jungle account:

  • Make the necessary edits on the job card on your ATS

  • We will automatically scrape the job card again, and it should go live within one working day

If you post directly on Welcome to the Jungle:

  • You will need to create a new job card from within your Welcome to the Jungle account here

  • Your job will be reviewed, and should go live within one working day

I think my job has been disapproved incorrectly, what do I do?

If you think your job has been disapproved incorrectly, and it fits within our guidelines, please email companies@welcometothejungle.com, with the title of the job, and we can help further.
